My desire to educate women about their birth choices came from my university studies and my four beautiful births. I have been a certified childbirth educator for almost 20 years. With my love for education came two more opportunities to certify to teach and counsel in lactation. I love the experience of every birth I have attended. I believe that pregnancy, birth, and breastfeeding are normal life processes. I believe every woman has the right to choose where, how, and with whom her birth experience will take place. After this beautiful process, time at the breast is the final stage of labor. I believe this ‘magic hour’ after birth is a critical bonding period between mother and baby. I hope through my knowledge and experience I can help each family find joy and happiness on their journey through pregnancy and breastfeeding.
